Hello, I'm Emily Taing ︎
Creative Director in Design, Social, Advertising & Media.

With 13+ years of advertising and creative experience, I've worked with
global & indie brands, celebrities & influencers, and ad agencies & media companies.
My career started as a Layout Artist where I developed my ︎ for detail and ︎ for kerning.
From there, I immersed myself in creative concepting, strategic thinking, and the power of big ideas.
I am passionate about problem solving, enthusiastic about new challenges, and firmly believe that
there's always a reason to celebrate with a bowl of noodles ︎.

And I believe that everything happens for a reason.

My parents escaped the killing fields of Cambodia and found each other in America.
Because of them, I am grateful for all that I have.

At 16, I went against my parents commands & fell in love.
Sometimes you have to stop thinking so much and go where your heart takes you.

At 20, I stumbled into a critique and discovered the beauty of graphic design.
Kern, baby, Kern.

While working in the Studio at Arnold, I spent any free moment working on my portfolio︎.
It always seems impossible until it's done.

In 2010, I won a gold bowl at the Hatch Awards and got promoted to Art Director.
Work Hard. Stay Humble.

In 2012, I followed my dreams and moved to NYC, instagramming all of my favorite memories ︎.
And suddenly…it's time to trust the magic of beginnings.

In 2015, I became the founding mother of a nyc-based noodle club: #NoodzClub
Slurp. Slurp. Slurp.

While freelancing at UM/J3, I entered the world of media and learned the importance of art directing a media plan.
Be patient. Everything is coming together.

In 2020, after 5 years and 50+ shoot days...I said goodbye from a distance to UM/J3 and was reunited with my Arnold family.
Sometimes life brings you full circle to a place you have been before just to show you how much you have grown.

During COVID, I opened up my own etsy shop where I design and hand make all of the products.
What keeps life fascinating is the constant creativity of the soul.
